As the home of two listed HMD manufacturers, Taipei is the global tech headquarters for some of the leading computer companies driving the growth of VR. Taiwan has some of the world’s leading companies in fitness equipment, location-based experience (LBE) fabrication, mobile technology and an ambitious network of Government support agencies to support new startups. “Taipei is fast becoming the Silicon Valley of VR”, states PROJECTR Founder, Michael Gregg. “This is why we’re bringing PROJECTR to Taipei.”
Planning for the Center is underway, with initial floor space planned to cater for up to 24 residents and six student interns from local universities. Interest in tenancy has been received from Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand plus Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, after sharing benefits and opportunities with leading VR/AR companies in those four cities.
